There are few finer souvenirs produced to be sold onboard the Queen Mary in the pre war period. One item that was produced was a quality bronze plaque in relief within an oak frame. It was produced in a variety of colour ways, natural bronze, patinated bronze, gilded bronze and like this example, silver plated. Based on the pre Maiden voyage company issued grand artists impression, by William McDowell. The exaggerated image only being used on ships articles for the first year or so.
A beautiful small scale item of the highest quality, coming soon.
